Based on the matching questionnaire data of 223 employees on the car assembly\nline and 45 of their direct supervisors, this paper discusses the influence of\nnew generation burnout on task performance and turnover intention and the\nmediating role of career commitment and the moderating effect of innovation\norientation. The results reveal that burnout of young skilled employees has\ndirect negative effect on their task performance. Career commitment of young\npeople plays the partial mediation role in the positive relationship between\nburnout and turnover intention, while innovation orientation plays the negative\nmoderation in the relationship between occupational commitment and\nturnover intention. Management implications of the study are to reduce burnout\ncan effectively improve job performance. At the same time, enhancing\nthe employees� occupational commitment and innovative work values can effectively\nreduce the young employees� turnover intention.
